Toronto Nature Explorers Summer Camp

For children ages 1.5 to 12.
Science experiments, outdoor exploration, art, and curated field trips across Toronto.
10 weeks of adventures from June 22 to August 28, 2026.
This summer, our Montessori environments will transform into vibrant Nature Exploration Labs, where children engage in hands-on discovery and outdoor learning. Over nine thematic weeks, our program invites children to investigate the natural world through scientific inquiry, meaningful work, and purposeful Montessori activities. Guided by the principles of independence, curiosity, and respect for nature, children become scientists, artists, builders, and caretakers of the Earth.

Throughout the program, children will:
  • Work with real scientific tools, natural materials, and Montessori resources.
  • Practice observation, recording, and environmental stewardship.
  • Engage in freedom within structure — choosing meaningful work each day.
  • Build independence, concentration, and a lasting love for the natural world.

Our summer program is open to all families, not just current Hopscotch families. If you are interested in enrolling, please fill out the form below.

A minimum enrollment of 2 weeks is required.
In our Preschool Nature Lab, young explorers engage in tactile, play-based learning that stimulates their senses and nurtures their natural curiosity. Each week features hands-on experiments — shaking, pouring, measuring, building — giving students a physical connection to scientific concepts. Through art, song, and movement, children develop early scientific thinking, fine motor skills, and a deep appreciation for the living world around them.
Toddler (1.5−3 y.o.) & Primary (3−5 y.o.)
Our Elementary Nature Lab fosters deeper inquiry, project-based learning, and real-world problem-solving. Students learn by doing: testing wind and soil, building structures, observing insects, mixing natural dyes, and exploring Toronto’s parks, gardens, and waterways. They will engage in experiments, mapping, journaling, model-making, and eco-advocacy projects that connect classroom learning to the city’s urban ecosystems.
SK to 6th Grade /
Elementary School (5–12 y.o.)
