Join Hopscotch Montessori’s Summer Camp!

Unique program in Toronto for children ages 1.5 to 6.
Enjoy 5 weeks of adventures from July 21 to August 22, 2025.
Our "Once Upon a Time in Toronto" curriculum will immerse students in everything the city has to offer! From the subway and parks to iconic buildings, museums, sports, arts, and more, each week will feature explorations of different parts of Toronto and its diverse cultures.

Through engaging classroom activities, exciting field trips, and fun at some of the city’s amazing playgrounds, students will have a memorable summer experience. Our classrooms will continue to follow the Montessori curriculum while placing special emphasis on learning about our home city.
Toddler (1.5-3 years) & Primary (3-6 years)

Summer Program Overview

Week 1: Transportation in Toronto

Children will explore the history of Toronto’s transit system, including streetcars, subways, and buses. They will engage in hands-on activities by designing and building model streetcars and subway trains using recycled materials and various art mediums.
Week 2: Toronto Through Time

Students will discover Toronto’s rich history, from its Indigenous roots to its evolution into a modern metropolis. They will participate in storytelling and timeline activities to understand how the city has grown over the years. We will also create a historical timeline mural and represent Toronto’s transformations through artistic expression.
Week 3: The City and Its Landmarks

We will delve into Toronto’s iconic landmarks, such as the CN Tower, City Hall, railroads, and the Toronto Islands, while exploring the city’s physical geography. Children will engage in map activities to learn about neighborhoods, subway systems, and unique features. They will also build representations of Toronto landmarks through art projects and creative activities.
Week 4: Culture and Art

Students will immerse themselves in Toronto’s diverse culture by exploring stories, music, and food from various neighborhoods like Chinatown and Little Italy. They will participate in mini art projects inspired by local artists and street art, including a museum visit. We will also enjoy music and movement as we dance to the rhythms of Caribana and other cultural festivals.
Week 5: Nature and Parks

Children will learn about High Park, rivers, ravines, and Toronto’s waterfront through nature-inspired activities. They will enjoy outdoor exploration by creating nature collages and engaging in water play inspired by the Toronto Islands. We will celebrate the last week with a "Once Upon A Time In Toronto" museum event at Hopscotch, inviting families to join in the fun.

Program and Tuition Schedule Summer 2025 (per week)

Our Summer Program is open to all families, not just those from Hopscotch. Families can enroll students any time over the summer (2 weeks minimum).
